It is a tradition at our house to have cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate on Christmas morning. So I decided to combine the 2 flavors! Now you can get all the taste of hot chocolate combined into a sweet roll! Rich chocolate and marshmallow inside, covered with a marshmallow frosting!
Mini Hot Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls
Materials:
For the Rolls:
1 Can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1/4 cup Butter, softened
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cups mini marshmallows (cut into smaller pieces)
1/4 cup chocolate chips
For the Icing:
1/4 cup Butter, softened
4oz marshmallow fluff
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°F.
Unroll the dough and separate into 4 rectangles. Press seams of rectangles together.
Spread butter over each rectangle.
Mix sugar and cocoa in small bowl then sprinkle evenly over each rectangle. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips and a few marshmallow on each rectangle as well.
Starting with short side of each rectangle, roll up then pinch edges to seal. Using serrated knife, cut each rectangle into 5 slices. Place slices in 8" or 9" pan (ungreased).
Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes then cover with icing.
Icing:
Beat butter and powdered sugar together until well mixed. Mix in marshmallow fluff and vanilla by hand and stir until well combined.
I wish I had one right now with my coffee. I love cinnamon rolls, these would be great for our Christmas brunch.
